Hi I’m Laurie, the Water Exercise Teacher’s Teacher I’m curious about how the body works, always searching for ways to move better. What I enjoy most is sharing what I learn with others. That’s why I started Water Exercise Coach, a health and fitness education company focused on sensible ways to build strong, healthy bodies. As a kinesiologist, ACE and AEA-certified fitness trainer and Fellow of Applied Functional Science, I know the complexity of exercise. As a fitness instructor, I’ve witnessed the life-changing benefits of workouts in the pool. After 30 years of teaching water exercise, I realize that results-driven workouts can be simplified into a basic formula. The 6-7 Formula is a proven guide that helps you stick to the moves that work for you. I am forever changed. My body now automatically needs the six directions and seven foot positions. My teaching is more creative and challenging with focus on cueing to help the body move better.
